Chiburi island is a solitary island of 770 people, located in Oki-gun, Shimane prefecture. Special elderly nursing home had never been built in this island. Therefore, the elderly people who needed nursing had only moving to facilities outside the island. "Nagomi-No-Sato", the house of taking care was established to break down the situation in May, 2002.
Do elderly people have to wait for the death in the place that doesn't become accustomed though they piled up years beautifully in the place where they were born and grew up? Is it correct? We cannot choose the death places and do we have to keep struggling against solitude even when we lower the act of life?
We never think it is correct shape. We hope for the esteem of dignity as one man until time when the elderly people receive the death and we keep practicing it here.
